New Feature: Percentage Cover for Overlay and Underlay Planting in Revit

CS ArtisanRV offers a ‘Cover Percentage’ (Cover %) option when placing area planting. This has been added as an additional field in the grid with Sum Percentage (Sum %) remaining as previously the total of the mix components (highlighted in blue below).

Cover Percentage 1 BIM for Landscape

In the above example, an Alder Woodland Mix has been applied to 100% of the defined area, region, floor (i.e. 412.2m2).

If Cover % is modified, the calculated values of the plant or mix are adjusted automatically. In the example below, the Alder Woodland Mix is placed on 50% of the selected area, floor, region and calculated plant numbers adjusted accordingly…

In the above example, the Alder Woodland Mix has been applied to only 50% of the defined area, region, floor and the calculated plant numbers of the mix components adjusted automatically.

The new Cover Percentage (Cover %) control is particularly useful for Overlay and Underlay Planting

The example above shows planting tags using Compact Labels (AWM for Alder Woodland Mix and SHM for Scrub Thicket Mix), which is a useful option when using extensive mixes. The ‘-1’ suffix represents an instance count (i.e. this is the first time both mixes have been used in the current model.
